Breve Histórico do Hockey no Gelo no Brasil:
 

No Brasil, começou praticado por imigrantes ex-jogadores em seus países de origem. Em pouco tempo, o ice hockey atraiu jovens que freqüentavam as pistas de gelo existentes. Acredita-se que o primeiro jogo de Ice Hockey no Brasil foi jogado em 1967, no Hotel Quitandinha, Petrópolis (durante 8 anos). Em 1978, o ice hockey era resumido com times jogando nos rinks usados para apresentação do Holiday on Ice. Em 1985, o Brasil tinha cinco times adultos e cinco times juniores, 180 jogadores adultos e 130 juniores, e cinco rinks com gelo artificial, apenas um com tamanho oficial no Rio de Janeiro. No Barrashopping (RJ), Morumbi Shopping, Bourbon Shopping (SP), Internacional Shopping (Guarulhos), era praticado o Hockey no Gelo, com escolinhas e times que participavam de campeonatos nacionais e internacionais. 

Desde 1985, o Professor Alexandre Capelle, com formação em Educação Física e com cursos de Ice e In Line Hockey nos Estados Unidos e Canadá (onde residiu por algum tempo), fazia parte do quadro de atletas do time e era o responsável pelo treinamento das categorias inferiores  do clube Rio Ice Hockey, localizado no Barra   Shopping, Rio de Janeiro.  Também treinou equipes em São Paulo, onde levou alguns times para participar de campeonatos internacionais nos Estados Unidos e Canadá. 

Em 1996, foi fundada a CBHG (Confederação Brasileira de Hóquei no Gelo), filiada a entidade internacional desde então. Foram implantadas as regras do gelo adaptadas ao nosso país tropical, através do hockey in line, com excepcional evolução. 

Em 2007, fundamos a F.P.H.G. (Federação Paulista de Hockey no Gelo) e através da Capelle´s Hockey School, escola de hockey no gelo, inicia um novo trabalho visando criar futuros atletas olímpicos e também um novo trabalho para desenvolver categorias de base no Brasil.

Brief History of Ice Hockey in Brazil:

In Brazil, began practised by immigrants ex-players in their countries of origin. Soon, the ice hockey attracted young people who attended the lines of existing ice. It is believed that the first game of Ice Hockey was played in Brazil in 1967, the Quitandinha Hotel, Petropolis (for 8 years). In 1978, the ice hockey was summarized with teams playing in rinks used for the presentation of the Holiday on Ice. In 1985, Brazil had five times adults and five junior teams, 180 adults and 130 junior players, and five with artificial ice rinks, with only one size official in Rio de Janeiro. In Barrashopping (RJ), Morumbi Shopping, Bourbon Shopping (SP), International Shopping (Guarulhos) was practiced in the Ice Hockey, with day and teams participating in national and international championships.

Since 1985, Professor Alexander Capelle, with training in physical education courses and with Ice and In-Line Hockey in the United States and Canada (where he lived for some time), was part of the framework for athletes of the team and was responsible for the training of lower categories of the club Rio Ice Hockey, located in the Barra Shopping, Rio de Janeiro. Also trained teams in Sao Paulo, which has led some teams to participate in international championships in the United States and Canada.

In 1996, was founded on CBHG (Confederation of Brazilian ice hockey), affiliated to international federation. We took the rules of ice adapted to our tropical country, through hockey in line with exceptional development.

In 2007, founded the F.P.H.G. (Paulista Federation of the Ice Hockey) and by Capelle's Hockey School, school of hockey on ice, begins a new work to create future Olympic athletes and also a new work to develop the basic categories in Brazil.
